How do families receive Care Bags?
Families are referred by hospital staff — social workers, child life specialists, or nursing teams. Families don’t apply directly; referrals protect privacy and ensure support reaches those who need it most.
Can I donate items instead of money?
Yes! We accept new, unused items that meet our care bag standards. Please reach out before donating so we can let you know what’s most needed. All donated items are inspected to ensure quality and safety.
I work at a hospital — how do we partner with you?
We’d love to talk! We partner with hospitals in the greater Omaha area that serve pediatric patients with long-term stays. Send us a message and we’ll share our partnership overview and set up a conversation.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Heart of Grace, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a written acknowledgment for your records.
